I'm feeling particularly grateful this time of year following an amazing elk hunting experience in Southwest Colorado and the opportunity to continue working in this business I'm so passionate about, introducing people to awesome outdoor cooking tools & experiences.

This year's elk hunt was a journey of many miles surrounded by a gorgeous landscape. I spent a good amount of time staring at Courthouse Rock, the area where John Wayne filmed True Grit. While the weather conditions weren't on our side and our group of eight came away with just two elk, the experience was something special. There is just something about spending a week being one with the outdoors...and of course cooking some good food outdoors along the way. The Uuni even got some action when I made a stop en route at my brother's house in Denver. Sunday Brunch isn't Sunday Brunch without breakfast pizza in an Uuni!

I returned home just in time to celebrate Thanksgiving, surrounded by family, friends and more good food. I was excited to get a picture from a happy customer, who had smoked their Thanksgiving turkey on their brand new Camp Chef Smoke Pro DLX...an early holiday gift to themselves. Why not treat yourself this holiday season too?!
